B.R.A.I.N.E.R. data deletion instructions
How to disconnect a connected account, and how to ask us to delete the data we hold for you.

What this page covers
This page explains how to remove a connected account from B.R.A.I.N.E.R. and how to request deletion of the data we hold about you — including information we received through Meta’s APIs after you connected a Meta advertising account.
You can do the first two steps yourself at any time. The third is a request you send us.
1. Disconnect Meta inside B.R.A.I.N.E.R.
Open the company whose advertising you want to stop, go to its advertising panel, and choose Disconnect. We attempt to pause delivery first, then stop using the connection — after that the service makes no further calls to Meta for that company.
The campaigns, ad sets, and advertisements already created stay in your own Meta ad account, because they are yours. Delete them there if you want them gone.
2. Remove B.R.A.I.N.E.R. from your Meta account
You can revoke our access from Meta’s side instead of, or as well as, disconnecting in the product. In Meta Business Settings, open the business you connected, find B.R.A.I.N.E.R. under the apps or connected items for that business, and remove it.
Meta notifies us when you do, through the deauthorize callback registered for our app, and we mark the connection inactive when that notice arrives. Removing the app stops future access; it is not by itself a request to delete data we already hold. For that, use step 3.
3. Delete a company, or your whole account
Deleting a company in B.R.A.I.N.E.R. removes that company and the records attached to it. That includes the connected Meta account: the connection record, the access credential we stored for it, the campaigns and advertisements we tracked, and the performance data we retrieved.
Deleting your account, from your account settings, removes your account and every company in it on the same terms. Operational logs and encrypted backups are the exception, as described below.
Neither touches your own Meta ad account. The campaigns and advertisements themselves live in your account and only you can delete them there.
4. Or ask us to delete it for you
You can also ask us instead. Email support@brainer.ceo from the email address on your B.R.A.I.N.E.R. account and say that you are making a data deletion request. Tell us whether you want:
- Only the connected Meta account data deleted — the connection record, the stored access credential, and the advertising and performance data we hold for it.
- A whole company deleted.
- Your entire account and everything in it deleted.
What happens next
We use the email address to confirm the request came from you, and we may ask one follow-up question if we cannot match it to an account. We complete deletion requests within 30 days, and we will tell you when it is done.
Two things are not edited in place: operational logs, and encrypted backups, which age out on their own cycle rather than being rewritten. A copy of deleted data may persist in them for a period afterwards.
We may also keep information where we are required or permitted by law to — for example records needed for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, or an unresolved dispute.

What we collect through a connected Meta account, why, and how long we keep it is set out in the privacy policy at /privacy.
